Youth Awareness Scholarship Workshops - Sept. 9 and Oct. 14
Would you like to win an all-expense Paid Trip to Boston? Are you a 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade high school student? Do you want a chance to win scholarships to pursue your college education? If you answered “yes” to those questions, well this is your chance to do just that.

Join with other students from Virginia and HELP educate 4-9 year olds through “Kids Talks”. “Kids Talks” are short 10 – 15 minute presentations given by you to a group of 4-9 year olds. The topics of discussion are endless, ranging from health and nutrition, internet safety, fire safety and self-esteem - just to name a few.
When you have completed your minimum of three Kids Talks, compile them into written and visual reports ready to turn in by the February deadline. It`s that easy! You will also be competing for one of five scholarships that Moose International awards annually. A $12,000, $8,000, $5,000, $3,000 or $2,000 scholarship could be yours to help with your expenses.

As a “BONUS” if you are chosen from the participants from Virginia to represent our state at the International level, you will receive an additional $1,000 scholarship from the Virginia Moose Association.

If you believe, you have what it takes then come to a Youth Awareness Workshop at the Winchester Moose Family Center on September 9 at 11:00am or October 14 at 10:00am. Participants under 18 will need a parents signature to participate.
